"Play is the highest form of research.'' —Albert Einstein
7:00am – 8:45am
Before care
Before-care students may arrive as early as 7:30 a.m. Upon arrival, children are greeted and offered a morning snack. As they finish eating, they can choose to read books, do puzzles, or enjoy free play at a learning center until all are finished eating and the rest of their classmates have arrived for the school day.
9:10am – 9:25am
Morning Circle
The official start to our day is Morning Circle. We come together to welcome friends, we notice the date, we count the calendar, observe the weather, talk about our learning theme, and look ahead to that day's fun activities!
9:30am – 10:00am
Table Time
After introducing the day's theme in morning circle, we dive into "Table Time," with teacher-led table activities including but not limited to art projects, skills sheets, or fun experiments, which coincide with the learning theme.
10:00am – 10:30am
Activity centers
Activity centers are an important part of learning as they engage students in small-group social interactions. Cooperative play is taught through rotational play partnering and side-by-side imaginative activities such as building blocks, doll play, shopping center, dress-up, puppets, and more!
10:30am – 11:00am
Outdoor play
It’s time to go outside (weather permitting)! Little ones play on their own, using their imaginations and building friendships through cooperative play.
11:00am – 11:30am
Bible Lesson
By following an age appropriate Bible curriculum plan, students will be introduced to the Bible, learn daily lessons from it, complete corresponding crafts or Bible themed worksheets, and "talk to God" together in class prayer!
11:30am – 11:45pm
Dance Party
Utilizing various worship songs for kids as well as modern favorites (like Baby Shark and The Floor is Lava), each day we will close our morning with a fun and engaging music and movement focus!
11:45am – 12:00pm
Lunch
Time to wash our hands and get ready to eat lunch!
12:30pm – 1:00pm
Recess
We use our muscles to climb, run, jump, kick and enjoy indoor or outdoor play!
1:15pm – 3:15pm
Rest time
Ssshh... it’s quiet time. Many children will nap, but as they wake up (or if they never quite get to sleep), they can select different quiet activities, such as looking at books or drawing.
3:15pm – 3:30pm
Dismissal prep
Teachers turn on lights and rouse students for restroom breaks. Those children remaining for after-care will enjoy a nutritious snack like apples and seed butter.
3:30pm – 4:15pm
Outdoor play
Aftercare participants might play on their own or participate in a group activity on the playground, or the indoor recess room during inclement weather.
4:15pm – 5:30
Activity centers & pick-up
It’s time for pick-up! After a busy day together, children are given the space and time to explore and play in the learning centers on their own.
